Before you contact the office

Preparing for an injury consultation.

Start with the date, location, and a short account of what happened. Keep the following information available if you have it.

The incident

Write down the date, exact location, people or businesses involved, and any report number. Separate what you personally remember from what someone else told you.

Your injuries and treatment

List the medical providers you have seen and the approximate treatment dates. Note any hospital stay, work restrictions, or continuing treatment. Keep bills and receipts.

Evidence and insurance correspondence

Save original photographs, video, messages, and witness contact information. Keep claim numbers, policy documents, settlement offers, and requests for statements or authorizations. Mention any deadline in a letter or court document.

Fees and representation

Ask whether there is a charge for the consultation, how attorney’s fees would be calculated, and who would be responsible for case expenses. If the firm offers representation, confirm the scope and financial terms in writing before proceeding.

Missing a document? Call anyway.

You do not need a complete file to contact the office. Explain what you have and what is missing. Wait for instructions before sending medical records or other sensitive documents.

If you are calling for someone else, explain your relationship and why they cannot make the inquiry themselves. The office may need consent or other authority before discussing private information.

Your next step

Contact Richardson Law Group.

Call 985-302-3022 or send a brief account of the incident. Mention any approaching deadline.
